SBI Clerk 2019 Application Form, Dates, Eligibility, Pattern, Important Books

State Bank of India conducts recruitment test for Clerk. Becoming a part of State Bank of India as an employee for any candidate could be a great achievement. The exam will be conducted in the month of August 2019 (Tentatively). SBI Clerk 2019 application form will be available from 3rd week of January 2018. SBI conducts online examination for the post of clerk in 2 stages- preliminary & main. The qualified applicants of SBI Clerk 2020 Prelims will be eligible to appear for SBI Clerk Main examination.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Minimum and maximum age of candidates should be 20 and 28 years respectively.


  • Bachelor’s degree in any discipline required.


  • Final year Graduation candidates are also eligible to apply.


  • Reserved category candidates may avail relaxation in upper age.


Application Fee

  • The application fee is Rs.600/- for General and OBC.


  • The application fee is Rs.100/- for candidates belonging to SC/ST/PwD category candidates.


  • The amount will be payable in online mode only thru debit card, credit card and net banking.


SBI Clerk 2019 Application Form

The application form will be made available in online mode from the official website of State Bank of India. Applicants will have to fill all the necessary information and personal details in the application form. Candidates will have to upload the scanned photo and signature, after filling all the personal and educational details in the application form. SBI PO 2019 Exam Pattern

For Preliminary Exam 2019

  • SBI Clerk Preliminary Exam 2019 will be conducted online.


  • The exam will be based on the question paper having multiple choice questions.


  • The number of questions in the exam will be 100.


  • The Total Marks allotted for the SBI Clerk Preliminary Examination will be 100.


  • Candidates will be given 1 mark for every correct answer.


  • For every incorrect answer, candidates’ 1/4thmarks will be deducted.

For Mains Exam 2019

  • The SBI Clerk main exam 2019 will consist of 190 questions.


  • The questions will be of objective nature.


  • The time duration to solve the online test will be of 2 hours 40 minutes.


  • The language of the question paper will be English and Hindi (except English section).


  • The Total Marks allotted for the SBI Clerk Preliminary Examination will be 200.


  • Candidates will be given 1 mark for every correct answer.


  • For every incorrect answer, candidates’ 1/4thmarks will be deducted.

For Interview (subject to Govt. of India approval)

  • Candidates will be required to take part in the interview who has qualified the SBI Clerk Pre and Main Exam 2019, but it will be subject to Government of India approval.


  • It will be necessary for the candidates to secure minimum qualifying marks to be eligible to take part in the interview.


  • Candidates will be finally selected for the post of clerk in the State Bank of India, after the commencement of interview.


Admit Card

  • Admit card will be available to download at the official admission portal of State Bank of India.


  • After the announcement of official notification, direct link for downloading the admit card will be provided here.


  • If you appeared in SBI Clerk exam then you can check your result by following its official admission portal.


  • After clearing the Main exam you’ll be invited to attend the Interview.


  • You’ll be recruited as Clerk in SBI bank, after getting qualified in the Interview.

Important Tips to Prepare for SBI Clerk 2019

  • Reading skills: Candidate must develop a good reading skill where they can read newspapers and magazines at a good rate so as to increase their domain of knowledge.


  • Never fall short of Practice: Practice enough so as to master that area of knowledge. Practice the different type of questions from different places and strengthen your base.
