Different banks will have different policies regarding transfer from one location to another, during the course of employment. Also, some banks may consider your preferences for location, while others may not work that way. You must go through the transfer policies of the banks you are interested in to make a preference list, based on what you think will work best for you.

Go with your own choice

You can also choose a bank if you dream to be a part of a particular bank. Most of the PSU Banks (under IBPS) offer similar kind of salary structure and also follow a similar kind of promotion policy. So, research for your dream bank in order to  decide which bank is good for you and you can give it preference over others.

NB:Remember, in the initial years of posting, you will be posted at several locations for training purposes and will get a final posting only after you complete your probation period. This initial posting year may take you to different places, maybe even ones far off from your hometown, but, don’t be disheartened over this. Take it  in  a  positive manner and keep learning!

At last before making your final preference list just do a little homework on your own to choose the best banks for you. Also, don’t forget to check the latest IBPS PO eligibility criteria and IBPS PO selection process.
